BMW ConnectedDrive Services & Apps in the BMW X6.

An essential head start: Innovative BMW ConnectedDrive equipment makes sure that you stay connected at all times. Via Services & Apps, you have direct in-car access to information, entertainment and online services. For example, Advanced Real Time Traffic Information lets you check the traffic situation on your route in advance. And with the BMW Assist Emergency Call, you can get rapid assistance in emergency situations.

CONNECTED DRIVE SERVICES PROFESSIONAL.

The equipment option ConnectedDrive Services forms the basis for BMW ConnectedDrive functions, which provide the driver with a wide range of information, entertainment and service features while on the road.

The offer includes access to current location-based information such as weather and news, as well as an online search powered by GoogleTM and practical office functions. Services and features such as parking information, as well as travel and hotel guides can be accessed directly in the car without a smartphone via the ConnectedDrive menu.

Convenient, secure and unlimited access to selected smartphone apps is also integrated. ConnectedDrive Services also provides access to the BMW ConnectedDrive Store, in which services and apps can be ordered and extended anytime and anywhere to suit the user's individual requirements. The equipment option ConnectedDrive Services offers all this and more, making every trip in a BMW a real experience.

CONCIERGE SERVICES.

For anyone who has ever wanted to know what it is like to have their own personal butler, here is the chance: with Concierge Services from BMW ConnectedDrive. Concierge Services offers a personal assistant, via the BMW Response Centre, to help find points of interest. Destinations could include; restaurants, shops, hotels, or even a specific address. The agent can also send these destinations directly to the vehicle's navigation system. Concierge Services operates independently of the driver's mobile phone and is available at home and abroad, around the clock, seven days a week. ConnectedDrive Services Professional is required in order to use this function.

ADVANCED REAL TIME TRAFFIC INFORMATION.

Advanced Real Time Traffic Information (ARTTI) provides the most up-to-date traffic information at all times. Precise details of the time and duration of hold-ups are relayed virtually in real time. The data is drawn from such sources as movement profiles from the mobile phone network, the GPS data of vehicle fleets, smartphone apps and police reports. This data is analyzed so precisely that it is possible to localize traffic congestion to the nearest few metres. This enables ARTTI to provide information in real time on the current traffic situation on motorways, main roads, country roads and numerous urban routes. ARTTI is only available in conjunction with ConnectedDrive Services Professional and BMW Navigation System Professional.

REMOTE SERVICES.

Remote Services enables various functions to be activated, deactivated and controlled from a distance. It is also possible to directly transmit addresses found using the Google™ Local Search. What's more, the car's location can be shown within a radius of 1.5 km. The car can also be locked and unlocked by calling the BMW call centre. Remote Services is only available in conjunction with BMW ConnectedDrive Services Professional.

BMW ASSIST EMERGENCY CALL.

BMW Assist Emergency Call permits fast, targeted assistance round-the-clock, supported by trained staff. If a serious accident takes place involving activation of an air bag or the belt tensioners, a BMW Assist Emergency Call is automatically issued. Relevant details such as the exact position of the car, the severity of the accident, and the possible risk of injury to occupants are transmitted to the BMW Call Centre via the car’s built-in SIM card, i.e. independently of a private mobile phone. The BMW Call Centre will inform the nearest rescue coordination centre and provide assistance over the phone until rescue services arrive. The emergency call can also be triggered manually in case others on the road require help.
