BMW Group Canada and veritree.

Driving change. Growing impact.

At BMW Group Canada, sustainability extends beyond the vehicles we build. It influences how we design, source, and manufacture, from increasing the use of recycled materials to advancing more efficient manufacturing practices, with the focus on creating long-term value for people and the environment.

BMW Group Canada is partnering with veritree to support reforestation and ecosystem restoration projects across Canada, and to help regenerate natural landscapes and strengthen ecosystems for future generations. Together, we're helping shape the road ahead and the world around it.

BMW and veritree's impact.

Through veritree’s tracking and verification system, BMW-supported projects are measured at every stage, from planting through to long-term impact. The results below reflect the progress being made through these initiatives across restoration sites.

Measuring what matters.

To help ensure measurable impact, every project is supported by smart monitoring and multiple levels of verification. Using innovative technologies and real-time insights, veritree tracks restoration progress, tree growth, ecosystem health, and biodiversity outcomes, helping ensure each project stays on track and delivers lasting results.

Progress through partnership.

BMW Group Canada's partnership with veritree extends beyond reforestation. Working alongside First Nations communities including Cook's Ferry, Nicomen, Shackan, Nooaitch, Lower Nicola, Upper Nicola, and Coldwater communities, these projects help restore ecosystems, support community-led climate initiatives, and contribute to long-term economic opportunities.

BC

British Columbia

Working with local First Nations communities, this project helps restore forests impacted by climate-driven wildfires, strengthen natural ecosystems, reduce flood & erosion risks, and revitalize aquatic habitats.

Alberta

Alberta

This Smart Forest uses connected monitoring technologies, including soil, climate, and bioacoustic sensors, to monitor forest health and ecosystem recovery in real time.

Ontario

Ontario

By transforming previously degraded land into thriving habitats, this project helps create urban green spaces that support biodiversity, strengthen local ecosystems, and benefit the surrounding community.

Quebec

Quebec (Coming Soon).

This project will restore shelterbelts and plant microforests to help develop diverse, resilient habitats that support biodiversity and strengthen the natural landscape across Quebec.
