Optimum charging temperature even before you start.
Even before you set off, and while driving to the next charging stop, the new BMW iX adjusts the battery to the optimum charging temperature. This speeds up charging and shortens the wait. Conveniently controlled via the My BMW App.²

Intelligently by your side.
More than just a key.
BMW Digital Key Plus lets you use compatible mobile devices instead of a physical vehicle key. You can edit the access rights and share it digitally with other people. As soon as you approach your BMW, it opens automatically.
Highway Assistant.
You can take your hands off the steering wheel at up to 130 km/h, as long as you are keeping an eye on the road and are ready to grab the wheel if necessary. Your BMW automatically suggests necessary lane changes. And this can be initiated by looking at the exterior mirrors.
The Highway Assistant is provided for up to 8 years commencing from in-service date. The feature will disable after that time. Highway Assistant can be used only on divided roadways, under certain conditions. Weather, traffic, road conditions, availability of high definition map data and other factors may affect performance. Highway Assistant helps drivers with the driving tasks but is not a substitute for the driver’s responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner. Drivers must always pay attention to vehicle alerts, warnings, road condition, road objects, other drivers, pedestrians and take corrective action if required. Failure to pay attention and use proper care may result in injury, death or damage to property. Use of Highway Assistant may not be permissible in certain locations. The Driving Assistant Professional actively keeps you in lane at up to 210 km/h and at a safe distance. If need be, your BMW will brake to a standstill and automatically drive off again. A real help especially in stop-and-go traffic.
