Use the BMW-approved Lectron Vortex Plus DC adapter at compatible Tesla Superchargers. Prior to using a NACS DC adapter for the first time, drivers must complete a Remote Software Upgrade (RSU). Your vehicle’s navigation map and the My BMW App will show which Tesla Superchargers are accessible to you.

Due to differences in factory-equipped hardware, the 2026 BMW iX, and 2026 BMW i5 xDrive40 models will receive this update in late spring 2026. Drivers of these vehicles will receive an in-app notification and an email starting in late spring 2026 with information about the RSU, adapter, and charging instructions.

The Lectron Vortex Plus DC adapter is BMW’s only approved NACS DC adapter. It is a portable device that allows your BMW’s CCS charging port to connect with compatible NACS charging stations, including Tesla Superchargers.
