Dents, Dings, Chips.
Acceptable
All chips that measure less than 2" and dents that measure less than 2" (maximum three occurrences per panel) using the Vehicle Condition Evaluator Tool or the width of a credit card.
Unacceptable
All chips that measure more than 2" (more than three dents per panel), or dents that measure more than 2" using the Vehicle Condition Evaluator Tool;
Scratches.
Acceptable
Surface scratches/scuffs that do not penetrate the paint and can be removed with normal reconditioning;
Unacceptable
All scratches/scuffs that measure more than 2" using the Vehicle Condition Evaluator Tool;
Hood.
Acceptable
Minor stone chips that measure less than 2" using the Vehicle Condition Evaluator Tool or the width of a credit card;
Unacceptable
Stone chips that measure more than 2" using the Vehicle Condition Evaluator Tool;
Tires.
Acceptable
Tires must have at least 4/32" of tread at the lowest point, or about half of the Quarter measurement supplied within the Vehicle Condition Evaluator Tool. Tires must match the original equipment supplied on your vehicle (speed rating, type, brand, run-flat, size). Please see your BMW Retailer for details;
Unacceptable
Tires that have less than 4/32" tread depth, or tire specifications and sizes different from original equipment brand (approved brands are Michelin®, Pirelli®, Bridgestone®, Continental®, Dunlop®, Goodyear®, and Hankook®.), type (run-flat), and speed rating;
Windshield.
Acceptable
Cracks or stars that are outside of the driver's wiper arc and measure less than 1/2" using the Vehicle Condition Evaluator Tool (up to two occurrences) and surface chips in the driver's wiper arc;
Unacceptable
Any cracks or stars within the driver's wiper arc and outside of it that measure more than 1/2" using the Vehicle Condition Evaluator Tool;
Bumpers.
Acceptable
Superficial scuffs/scratches that do not penetrate the paint.
Unacceptable
All dents and scratches/scuffs that penetrate the paint and cracks or punctures to bumpers.
Cracked Light.
Acceptable
Light housing is damage-free.
Unacceptable
Any cracks to a light housing.
Interior Wear.
Acceptable
Minor scuffs to the interior, seats, and soft trim (includes leather, cloth, vinyl leather, plastic, wood, carpets, headliners, vinyl and convertible tops, and weather-stripping seals).
Unacceptable
Any tears or burns to the interior.
